I agree with what has been said. The Leapster they'll play for MAYBE a year until they get tired of it. But with the DS they can have it for many years. (Albeit they don't come out with something else besides the DSi in the next couple of years.)
And with the DS you can easily change out the games via ebay or game swap as they get older.
