I also want to remind everyone that we have people singed up coast to coast so if it takes a little time to get to you thats why, I was just looking over the list and realized we have people in almost every state!!! This is great! Also remember the old ones can still be used..if you need the address email me!

How does the coupon train work? I have seen this mention alot on different sites..

I started the coupon train with 100 coupons...You add your name to my list by emailing me at mommyofgls@yahoo.com or pm me. When each person gets the train they take out what they want for coupons and put some of theirs in and then I give them the next name on the list! So far we have 6 trains going now! They are getting around pretty qiuckly..depending on how far it has to go. Now that we have so many going you really dont get a number you just get added to the list and whoever contacts me about a train first gets the next address on the list and it is really flying! Wow! I just got 2 envelopes of coupons today. I am so excited. I am taking any expired coupons from anyone if they care to send them. My husband is in the military and at the base, they let us use the coupons 6 months after they expire. With all the coupon trains going around, I just thought I would post my address here so it would be easier for everyone. And I will contribute to the 'trains' by sending any coupons I come across that are not expired yet to mommyofgarrett (hope that is okay :) ).

that is such a great idea! I get a lot of coupons that I know i'll never use. I always keep them "just in case" then they end up expiring. I'm gonna send my address now!

I know that many of you have all gotten the train! We are really moving along now that we have about 7 going! This has really gotten crazy :) I didnt think the response would be so great! Its awesome..I was just wondering if those of you who had gotten a train had found stuff you can use! Keep up the great work everyone..it's a sucess so far!

YES! I got about a dozen or so that i will use and then a friend took about 20 of the others. So it worked out nice. This was such a great idea! Can't wait for it to circle back to me again!!!

While we are waiting we could start a coupon trading system. I have a couple coupons that i'd love to have more of and I bet i have some others would like as well. I would say after you clip coupons if there is one you'd see that you want you post you want it and to have someone make an "offer".

For example I want Lipton Sides save $1 on three. Someone sees it and they have an extra but they want the save $2 on Scrubbing bubbles Shower Cleaner refills or save $4 on the Wisp Start up kit. They could PM me saying "Hi i have the Lipton coupon - I am interested in the $2 off Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Cleaners Refills or the $4 off Glad wisp start up kit." I could then reply I have the Shower cleaner and would be happy to trade ya!

Then even those of us still waiting on the train get some good deals and hopeful there will be less posts for Random Coupon trading on the site. I'm sure a lot of people would love that.

What do you think? Good Idea, Did i think too much into this?

I think that's a great idea! There are many times I wish I could get more of the same coupons, and I have my coupon train ready to send out, and had to use 2 envelopes because I have so many I don't use! I would love to see them put to use. I don't have the Lipton sides coupon--I haven't seen one, so I can't help you there, but maybe someone will.

lol that was my example! :-) What I have done is I've created a yahoo group that we could use to trade them. However I am waiting to hear from Vicky because I would like to link to this site - If she says no then we'd have to be on our own. Most likely the group would be deleted - but this is what I had in mind. It would be a coupon trading group only no freebie posts or links to internet coupons. If Vicky says it's ok I'd like to say that is what this site is for - we are only a different group to cut down on the number of posts on the board. We will see what she says - but I'd still like to hear if you all think it's a good idea or not.

another great way to get coupons for the coupon train is to pull them from those automatic coupon dispencers at the store! :) I got a few yesterday to put in th train when it gets here! hee hee!

Maybe in this train we could include (or start a separate one) for box tops for education, soda tabs (our interemdiate school collects them for the Ronald Mc Donald House) and Soup Labels (Our school does not use them) Whatcha think?

I think we could do a box tops one....I save them but my sons preschool doenst take them, but they take cambells..and pop tops...how many would be intersted?

We would need to do a seperate train as to keep the envelopes light so they dont cost so much for coupon train to be passed...if there are only a few that want box tops we couls all mail them there..

Or you could just mail your pop tops to a Ronald McDonald House directly rather than sending them to a middle man to bring to the Ronald McDonald House. Just an idea.

Our school takes box tops - and my children enjoy taking them back - I see the other Christinas point but heres my point on the matter - it makes the kids feel "good" to take things liek this to school - one takes box tops the other takes the tabs and who evers class brings the most of the box tops (in a certian amount of time) in receieves a ice cream or popcorn party and the tabs they have a goal at our school this year to see how many we can collect - it was just an idea........

Send me your address and I'll send you my box tops but it will just be too expensive to send the pop tops. I'll just give those to my local Ronald McDonald House. We save them in a gallon jug until it's full. The shipping would be the same as what they would get back. Might as well just donate the shipping cost to the Ronald McDonald House instead of the pop tops. Just my opinion.
