Mine will not take Internet coupons anymore, even if they are legit and they scan properly. Only regular coupons. Must be people took advantage. CRY!!!

If yours has self checkout they usually work through there.

I found it depends on the cashier, but i've actually stopped trying. Figured if they are too good for my coupons they are too good for my money.

I live in Central Michigan and the only place that will still take internet coupons in my area is Target.

you can go to Wal-mart's corporate page and search coupons and it will come up with the following guidelines. I would print these out and show them to a manager if anyone hassles you about it:

Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
Store coupons
Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
Internet coupons
Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:

Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
Only one coupon per item is permitted.
Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

:) That should shut them up in a heartbeat!! :)

I generally don't print coupons for the internet unless they are Target coupons because all of the grocery stores in my area will not take internet coupons. This happened about a year or so ago. I don't know about Walmart, never tried.

Thanks for the info!! I had problems using them at a Walmart here in NM and the manager said it was up to each store to determine whether they take internet coupons. Now I have proof that he is supposed to take them!:p

I've noticed that walmart will not take internet coupons in my area either. But last week i had a couple for bogo free and the cashier took them. I guess its up to the cashier whether they will take them or not. But i am going to print the policy and carry it with me when i grocery shop this week.

I always use them at the self checkout. No one watches everything you do and they coupons always scan just fine.

They should! I took a stack of coupons to Wal-Mart yesterday and saved over $116! All of the coupons I presented were printed from the internet, the cashier even asked me where I got all of them. After she saw my savings she praised me for being so thrifty!

WOW! $116.00 I thought I was great saving $76.25! My husband always laughs about how much I save! He thinks it's hilarious that I am so organized with them! I am glad my walmart takes them w/o fuss!

We are getting one here within the next year or so - and I am holding out hope they take them. They should I mean they get the money back! I really hate when stores don't take them - It's a slap in the face. Nope we think you are lying and really copied these and are trying to steal money from us! COME ON! I sometimes take stuff back if they don't ring up my coupons - a lot of hassle maybe but again I want to save and I want to go somewhere that "trusts" me. :)

PS 116!! WOW! My best is 36 so far. :) But i'm still a newbie.

Yeah, I printed the info out from the walmart website too, just in case. But when I went today, they didn't say a word. Of course, if I ever forget the printout at home, that's probably when they will refuse to take it. When I'm the least prepared.

Put a copy in your car! :-) that's what I plan to do and then have my husband run out and get it - hold up the line too bad! Should have taken my coupon!

I blew up at walmart today! I bout 300.00 worth of groceries and they tried to tell me that the $84.25 in couons I had was over the limit! I took out the printed copy of the coupon policy posted from another member and made them take them all! I have never had a problem..the worse part was only 2 of them were printed the rest were from the newspaper! I was PO'd I had 5 coupons for the air wick $1 off when you guy 2! I bought ten and then also had 8 of the free warner when you buy one air wik so I got all those too! then I had a ton of yougurt coupons and green giant and others..not my problem it is a pain...anywya they ended up taking them after a 15 min argument in the checkout!

Good for you! I would have done the exact same thing!

Do you know that Walmart throws away their leftover food from the Deli at night? You would think that they could give it to a homeless shelter or something. They make you think that they are a very charitable company.

Also Krispy Kream donouts does that..I took my 3 yr old daycare class to their place on a field trip when I was working(now I stay home) and one of the prents asked what they do with the ones they dont sell each day and they throw them away! They told us they cant risk them not being fresh and people not getig the fresh taste!...Um sorry but people that have not eaten in a week are not goign to care if the donut is 12 hours old! I will be writing walmart a letter about that..

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I have been carrying this around for the last month, but hadn't used any internet coupons until today. The cashier refused to take my internet coupons and said that it didn't matter what the corportate website said -their store did not take internet coupons. So, I asked for a manager. She looked at my printout and also stated that they didn't take internet coupons. So, I asked for another manager. She came over with two other people, looked at my e-mail printout and said..."Oh...I guess we do!!!". So, I saved $35 today!!! YEAH!!!! I felt kinda bad for the people in line behind me, but I had too many good coupons not to stand my ground! It's a good thing they honored them, or I was going to start pulling items out of my cart. I really had to giggle when the manager wanted my printout. I told her no- that she could go to her website and get one herself if she wanted one! :p

LOL. You really stand your ground don't you?? I would have done the same thing. The people at my wal-mart are very rude and they would probably have the same reaction. I haven't tried using internet coupons there yet but I keep that paper with me just in case.

I worked at a pizza place in high school and we often had extra pizzas, but could not donate them due to the fact that everyone sues over everything and if a homeless person got sick, then there's a lawsuit in the making! I wish it weren't that way, but too many people think the world owes them everything, which ruins it for everyone else!

Also...bkichler...thanks a bunch for the policy link!! My Wal-Mart stopped taking them, which ticked me off. Now I have ammo to fight!! :)

I agree..you have to stand your ground..I have had the problems when I used too many (all manuf.) they said it was over the limit..what ever I made them take everyone..saved around 100.00 in coupons that day and none were printed..lol! If you are firm and dont mind being hard on them they will take them..use the sheet it works!!!!

Wow, this is really helpful information!! thanks everybody!
I sure hope this printed policy will be honored at my Walmart....they can be very stingy about some things, and as you say a lot of it depends on the cashier/checker you get!

Wanted to let you know it works for me. Now I always carry a printout of their coupon policy with me, but I think my WalMart is starting to learn what their coupon policy is. I used to have to pull out the policy and get a mgr every time I went, now only about half the time:rolleyes:
