Talking Banana Pudding Homeade

4-5 banana (very Yellow)
1 Box Vanilla Wafers
3 cups Milk
*4 T Heaping Self Rising Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla Extract or 1 vanilla bean scraped
4 Large Eggs (Beaten)
1 stick butter (cut into pieces about 1 T size

* I use the Tablespoon that came with my silverware to measure the flour.

Pudding
Mix with whisk sugar and flour, removing all lumps. Add this to your large microwave safe bowl. Blend beaten eggs with milk; pour this over the sugar and flour mixture. Whisking until well combined. Add butter pieces.

Place bowl in microwave, cook pudding at 2 minutes intervals. Remove whisk all lumps (It will look like a ring has risen to the top around edges each time). Whisk this until smooth. Return to microwave and cook for 2 more minutes; whisking each time. Cook until this mixture is just a bit thicker than gravy. In fast microwave between 6-7 total minutes.

Add vanilla extract at end of cooking, or vanilla beans whisk well.

This can be layered in any deep bowl (helps if you have a lid for the bowl to keep in the refrigerator for days)

Layering to make finished pudding:

Pudding (HOT)
Vanilla Wafers
Sliced Banana's

Repeat layer 3x's+; ending with Pudding.

Can be served warm or cold!

Hope you enjoy, this was my grandmother's recipe she cooked it on top of the stove using the seperate method for tempering the eggs. I revised it several years ago.

It can be cooked on top on stove BUT you have to WHISK constantly and do not leave it! Medium heat.
