Red Velvet Cake

Cake:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Add in food coloring and cocoa powder. Mix in salt, buttermilk and flour. Then add vanilla, vinegar, baking soda. Pour into 2 greased 8 or 9" round cake pans. Bake for 30 minutes at 350degrees.

Icing:
Cook flour and milk to the consistancy of oatmeal.
While cooking cream together butter, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Mix flour mixture and creamed mixture togther

Edit: It won't let me edit the shopping list. Everything under the Icing is obviously to make the frosting if you want to make one instead of buying one.
