Question about printable coupons...
I think that having coupons to print from the internet is a great thing! My husband however hates them! He says that with the cost of paper and ink for the printer, you do not end up saving in the long run. This has been an on-going argument for quite some time so I stay away from the printables to keep the peace. (Unless they are really great coupons!)
What is your opinion? Worth your time? Or not? |

I think some are, the ones that i tend to use are, because they are like $3 & $5 off Papmers @ Target, Target coupons that I can stack with manufacturer coupons to save twice as much, a few coupons to use for my local grocery store (most of which end up doubled to $1) & Babyfood, so to me they are worth it. I spend like $60 every 3 months or so on ink & paper, & I know that I have saved way more than that using printed coupons during that time, & I use the paper & ink for other things as well, so the savings definately out way the expense for me

Some are really not worth it because it will print you some color pictures of the product on the bottom of the page under the coupon so if you're not right there to turn off the printer you waste quite some ink ! I still print some but I try to use as little as possible

My husband and I get our paper for almost free, so the paper isn't a huge expense for us. The ink lasts so long, so it doesn't drain us at all. I think it's well worth it when you're getting something for almost free. The only thing I don't like is Walmart will not accept printables, no matter how hard I've tried so I always tell them to take it off. Our local grocery store doubles them so I've never had any issues and it's always saving us, so why not?

I always print in B&W and often choose "draft" printing, too, so that help save on the ink.

I was going to also say set your printer to draft and you save much more. Then as your ink finally starts to run out, set it to normal then when that looks bad set it up to best. Your ink will last a very long time!!

If I find any coupons that I want printed out, I have my husband print them from his lab. Free! But there are a few coupons that I wish I could print out, but don't - because they want you to install a plug-in. I don't think you should have to install ANYTHING on your puter to print a coupon.

I buy my ink on ebay for @ about 15$ for a year supply...My printer uses individual color and black cartridges and for the 15$ I get 4 each. They work the same @ a fraction of the cost. Paper is cheap...I buy the cheapest for coupons and recipes...
