Target sucked today!!

I stacked a bunch of target coupons with other coupons last night so I could go to Target today (hour away). I had an appointment at 1:30 so I have time to kill, but I coupons for cold stuff, so I went to Target to get some of the stuff.

They took the coupons fine, no questions and I got a great deal.

So I went back and picked out all the stuff I wanted and go up there, ended up in the same gals line. She got down to the last 3 coupons and said..."Oh these are exp. Wait all of these are exp. " I explained that they still could take them. She asked the manager who said no. The one guy there said just to take them since they were all rang in, but she was like "NO Their exp!"

So I said that I didn't want the stuff that they wouldn't take the coupons on. I had a few with good dates on them so I got that stuff.

I still got a great deal on Similac. I had a $3 off 6 bottles (and someone had laid another one on the shelf by the Similac) I used $2 off coupons and a few checks and only paid about $14 for 12 bottles.

I was not happy that they would not take my coupons.

Next time I'll make about 4 or 5 trips in one day and make sure I use different lines. There are other stores in that shopping center, so I'll just make a few trips just to save good.

I was going to break that last trip up into two, but I had a long day and wanted to get it done. I think if I would have I would not have had a problem.

I've actually heard that Target is cracking down on taking the expireds, so they may not take them anymore if the cashier notices.

Was it their policy to take expired coupons? I have never hard of anyone taking expires coupons?

Everyone says that they take Exp Target coupons.

I think they do take the expired target ones as long as the cashier doesn't notice.

Yeah I used expired playtex coupons today at target. They scanned fine.

You guys are scaring me!! I have all my coupons ready to go to Target tomorrow and over half of them are expired!! I've been getting Poptarts for
.54 and I have coupons to make the Capri Suns .24 and the Kelloggs cereal FREE. Oh I hope they take them!!!! It worked the last time I was there (2 days ago)

Last time I went to Target they told me only one Target Internet coupon (i.e. Pop Tarts, Quaker) for the whole purchase, regardless if I bought multiple items It was the manager that told me that! I was so stinkin mad when I left there. I had just used a ton two days prior and even told them that. They said they just updated their registers the night before. Let us know how your trip goes.

Yeah, if the cashier doesn't notice that the coupon is expired and it rings up there isn't going to be a problem, but if a supervisor notices at the end of the day a certain cashier took them, they could get in trouble I don't think that's fair to the employee to get mad if she catches that they're expired, would you do something to jeopardize your job? Although if she was told to take the ones that scanned she should've done that with no arguments.

They gave me a bunch of BS about taking those printable gerber bogo fruits in a jar. She was like "Don't tell anyone I did this...". Like she was doing me a favor by taking a printable coupon! It made me so angry. I guess they're catching on to us bargain lovers.
