Walmart coupon policy

I had requested some coupons from Fast Fixins and they offered web coupons but as most of you know I have a hard time using them here so they sent my the following response:

We will put a coupon booklet in the mail for you today. FYI, here is a
passage from a letter we received from Coupons Inc regarding stores
that refuse Web coupons.

"We work closely with the retail industry to educate them regarding
secure print-at-home coupons. It's a large playing field but we continue
to make progress. Recently, we achieved a major success at Wal-Mart.

"Wal-mart has updated www.walmartfacts.com with their coupon policy -
which does confirm acceptance of Internet coupons.

"The link can be found at
http://www.walmartfacts.com/search/d...rchtxt=coupons or by
anybody who searches for "coupons" at www.walmartfacts.com (A link to
Wal-Mart Facts is also located under Company Information at
www.walmart.com)

"Wal-Mart also encourages consumers to use their 1-800-WALMART number
if there are any questions about coupon acceptance.

"Finally, our providing Wal-Mart with a list of our active coupons has
proven to be very successful. All coupon-related calls from their
Store Hotline are forwarded to the owner of this list and they have been
effectively able to verify the validity of any coupons in question.

"This is the type of dialog we're developing with the retail trade.
There are very few retailers that have specific policies AGAINST
print-at-home coupons. The primary challenge is getting ALL store managers on
board. Most retail chains give their individual managers the autonomy
to determine whether or not they'll accept our coupons."

It may come in handy to print the Walmart policy out... and keep it with your coupons, so that next time you have problems at Walmart, pull it out and show them their own coupon policy. It should shut them up.

I, personally, haven't had a problem. But I have it ready in case I ever do.

Thank you so much for posting this! I went to Walmart just last week and they would not let me use my coupons. I was so upset because I have never had a problem with them before! I am going to print this out and take it with me next time I go!

I printed this off a while ago cause the walmart here gives everyone such a hard time about coupons. when the chashier went to argue w/ me,i pulled it out and her mouth nearly hit the floor..needles to say she wasn't pleased that she had deal with all of my coupons..lol. too bad that her job!

i will NEVER shop at walmart again, especially with coupons... it took homegirl 15 flippin minutes to take off 5 coupons, she had only taken 4 off.. i explained to her that she had 5 coupons in her hand and only took off 4, she was a COMPLETE IDIOT! so no more walmart for me... seriously... unless i need spaghettios... they got $1 a can
