I go through ads on Sunday and try to get coupons that I would want to use for products that are on sale by Friday (the coupon swap forum is awesome, by the way!). I make a grocery list and I stick to it! I have my coupons that I will use during my shopping trip set out so I can get them and use them. I always have my coupon keeper with me wherever I go -- if I forget it, then I almost always see something on clearance that would've been a great deal if I would've had my coupons with me! Between sale ads and coupons, it's not uncommon for me to save $50 weekly on grocery shopping. Kroger is my biggest saving store -- I spend $43 there on Friday and saved $33.xx with coupons and their store card. Hope this helps! | |

I normally have around a $100.00 and spend around $50.00 . I just started back up with the coupons. When my kids were little I used to coupon shop everything. their all grown now and its just me and Gary. It is a challenge to me to see how much I can save. the one thing I can tell you is this, the manufacturer expects tyou to use that $1.00 coupon and get the larger container they have. I don't. I will take the $1.00 coupon and buy the samllest or travel size and get it free. when I find a coupon I can use on a samll item and get it free I will start looking for that coupon to trade for.then I can get 4 or 5 of those small items free and that is equivalent to the large but I paid nothing. I hope that is useful info for you.
