Trying to save a lot at the checkout
I have noticed that most of you save so much at stores!! Can someone just give me an example of what you buy, the coupons you use, and how you save?
We're super tight on money and I am trying to figure this whole coupon thing out! Thanks!! |

I am right there with you Heather! These ladies amaze me! I just started abd am still learning. I have only had one shopping trip so far which included Target, Kmart, and the grocery store...all together I think I saved like $70....and was very proud. I can't wait to get better like all these ladies here!

I just pick up tips from other people on here. I didn't know anything about four months ago and I am still learning stuff. The best tips I have learned about is Target and Walgreens allow you to stack a store specific coupon with a manufacturer coupon. I am totally obsessed with Walgreens now, especially their clearances. I get the best deals on stuff there, but I have to go a lot to all the different stores because it is so different at each one.

I think one of the best tips I can give you is to always have your coupon box/folder with you and try to keep it as organized as possible. Purge expired coupons and move ones that are about to expire to the front so you won't forget to use them. There are lots of unadvertised sales that you don't want to miss out on just because you left your coupons at home!
Know the layout of the stores you frequent, especially where they put clearanced items and check them out first. Plan your shopping trip by looking at the circular and pulling coupons before you go. Being prepared, especially when shopping with kids, can really save you time and money. My goal, every planned shopping trip, is to save more than I spend, with the exception of alcohol purchases. Being prepared is how I do it. Good luck and have fun! |

So here's my question how many manufacturer coupons can you use on one item?

Here's an example of a walgreens deal I did. I bought one of the curel hand and cuticle lotion and the curel foot lotion. Each cost $5.49. I had a manufacturer BOGO coupon for Curel, another manufacturer .75 cents off curel and 2 $2 off curel walgreens coupons from the easysaver catalog. I had two products and 4 coupons, 2 manufacturer and 2 store coupons. Anyway, after all was said and done, I paid about .75 cents for both lotions. I just made sure the BOGO coupon was the first one that he entered, so there wouldn't be any problems. | |
