Wanchai Ferry Dinner Kit question
Has anyone tried these yet? Are they any good? What is the regular retail price? What would be a good price before coupon? My Harris Teeter has these advertised for $3.99 this week. After coupon that would be $2.99. Is that good? If its like Hamburger Helper, than that's expensive. If more like Bertolli pasta dinners, than not too bad. Just wondering if I should try it.
Thanks! |

OMG! I made the spicy garlic chicken and all I have to say is YUMMY! It was so good. The only down side after you spend 4.79 (3.79 w/coupon) on the kit then 3.00-5.00 on chicken it is kinda pricey and it does not make very much. It would be cheaper to call in take-out.

I've only tried the cashew chicken. It was awesome! I used boneless chicken thighs, dark meat doesn't dry out like white meat and its usually cheaper. I did the bogo chicken, so it was like $2.50 for the chicken and $2.99 for the kit. It makes enough for 2-3 people, depending on your appetite.

I was going get one with my 1.00 coupon last week-end but my Walmart only had the Kung Pao & Sweet and Sour. My husband's not a big fan of sweet & sour and I wasn't sure about the Kung Pao myself. I love cashew chicken but I don't think DH will go for that one either. Sorry, I don't remember the price but I though they were a little too pricy to expermint with so I didn't get it. Maybe I'll go ahead and give it a try.
BTY - The best make at home Chinese I ever had was a freebie. I got the Orange Chicken mix and it was awesome. The chicken, a pot of rice and frozen egg rolls, so quick and easy. The name of the company is MIA at the moment. I wrote it down on a bright orange post-it and put it someplace so safe I can't even find it. ![]() |

Well, I tried it last night. With the coupon, I only paid $2.99. Not too bad. I made the "garlic chicken" kit but used shrimp. Easy to make and tasted fresh. I just thought it was too spicy for my taste. My husband liked it though. There's a coupon for it in this week's inserts...last page of Betty Crocker coupons. If you like spicy, go for it!
