GRRR...TARGET & the Tuna deal

so i went to target today and got 6 cans of starkist tuna at 59 cents each. when the cashier was finished ringing my order i handed her the coupons, and she said oh no these aren't the right tuna. i pointed out that the coupon only said starkist tuna and no specific size. she insisted that it had to be the one pictured. i told her to scan it and see if it would work, and she refused to because she said it would scan, and she wasn't supposed to do it. so then she went to speak to a manager and came back saying that they wouldn't accept the coupon. i wanted to fight it, but 2 of the 3 kids were crying so i just left. has anyone else had a problem with this coupon??? the target 50 cents one??? let me know! THANKS!

That is seriously lame when they say "it has to be the one pictured". If that were true then companies would have to put a picture of every possible variation of the product on the coupon. Then coupons would be as big as a sheet of paper!! I'm sorry you had such a difficult cashier.

Does anyone know if Target corporate gives you anything for your trouble. I had to call them a couple of days ago due to a rude service desk manager and the fact that it took them almost an hour to credit my target card back for $3.78 that they had over charged me on some of the del monte fruit cups I bought last week. I was fuming mad when I left. Corporate never said they would send me anything for my troubles.

I didn't have any problems using it. That this that is lame! I'd try again, at a time when you have time to fight it.

I have heard from others they would get small gift cards - like $5 or $10. I have never contacted Target except for their coupon policy.

Send a message via AIM to stephypants
Send Target an email. I had a complaint and they sent me 4 coupons for $3 off anything in the store.

I was at target today and got 4 cans of tuna with those coupons. I have learned though, that you have to pick a young girl as a cashier (they just push the coupons through unlike the older women, they seem to get nasty & start problems.) I was there about 2 weeks ago & I used a whole lot of those coupons "for any size" for the travel items. Well, instead of pushing the coupons through (because most of the items were either 97 or 99 cents & the coupons were $1 or $2) they manually overrode every coupon!!! I had 18 coupons & they were not nice to me!! (cashier was an old lady too--called over the security guard and everything to make sure she was ringing me up ok)

I know what you mean about the 'old' ladies. I had one the other day that acted like I was using a fake coupon or something. I had one that was for $5 off $25, that was printed off. She had to go have it checked. (I didn't even get in her line. I was in a different line and the casher called her over for a question and she seen the coupon after it was scanned.) I asked that was wrong with it and she said it was printed. I said "Yeah it's an internet coupon!" The ended up saying it was okay to use and they would look into it.

I look for the ones that look like they don't really care too much. The guys are the best!! LOL
