cvs ecb questions
I have read a lot on here how cvs has changed alot and I haven't been there in a few months....well I plan on going this week but I was wondering if the use of ecb has changed? For example lets say you have a total of $12 for 3 items and you have 2 ecb slips each for $4.00 (total of $8) are you able to use the 2 ecb slips on your total of $12 making it $4 or can you only use one ecb slip per order. So it would be $12 total and then one ecb for $4?
Not sure if that makes any sense...sorry! I am visiting my mom and she wants me to show her how it all works so I want to be sure that I tell her the right way! ![]() |

I have read places that they only let you use one ecb, but I have never had a problem using more than one, as long as they did not exceed my purchase price.
I only once did my ecbs get turned down because of all the manufactors coupons I used and the $/$$ coupon the remainder was only taxes and it would not take it. |

You should be able to use both of your ecb slips on your purchase.
Those pieces of paper are just like money. I did have a cashier once who didn't want to take more than two (she also didn't want to take more than 2 manufacturer's coupons) but I insisted and she did take them. This was last week! So, things are still up in the air a bit, but you shouldn't have any problem using them. The $$/$$ coupons are what got so many people confused and now the cashiers don't even know how to act sometimes. Good luck with your mom. I'm trying to do the same thing with mine. She could totally save so much money with this program if she can just think thru it. Not just think about how high their prices are. It's kind of a mind game.... |

You shouldn't have a problem using the ECBs since they don't say that it can't be combined. If you need to tell the cashier you'd like to speak to someone above her that can help you out. That normally snaps cashiers right into line and you'll get your way.

I've never had trouble using more than one ECB slip during a transaction. I'm very lucky to have a very good, coupon friendly staff at the CVS I frequent.

Thanks ladies for all the great responses! My mom can't wait to learn how to use the ecbs! And just save in general!
She has tried a few times but always gets confused so we are going to make a trip to cvs together, I am hoping that will help! |
