WARNING! baby food from Dollar Tree

I'm not sure if any of you have used any of the baby food you have bought from Dollar Tree. I have and for the most part I have not had any trouble. But, yesterday, when I opened a jar of bananas to feed my son, I noticed the bananas had a strange smell and they were more liquidy (i know that's not a word

) than usual. The expiration date is 21 Oct 07. I tasted the bananas and they did not even taste right. I've tasted his food before and these just tasted a little strange. Needless to say, I did not feed him the bananas. I kept the jar and called Gerber. They made a note of my complaint and told me they would send me some coupons for the trouble I have been through. So I guess I'll kinda be reimbursed. I just wanted to let everyone who bought the baby food from Dollar General to please be careful and make sure the food doesn't smell or taste strange. If it does, call Gerber. They will def. take care of it for you!
