My father in law went to winn dixie and got some GREAT deals yesterday morning. Turns out, they have certain times in the mornings where they put out their produce on sale. He got bananas for 15 cents a lb!! Also, he got about 25 apples, 2 lbs of grapes, 2 squash, 2 cucumbers, a couple of tomatoes, WAY too many bananas and a couple of other things for under $10!! I cut up the bananas and froze them so we can make banana milkshakes later on. If you shop at Winn Dixie, ask them when they put their produce on sale (it usually needs eaten almost right away, but you can do alot with veggies!!). You can't beat the prices he got!

My WinnDixie has a discount area (right near the bathrooms). I've gotten AWESOME deals there, like a box of granola bars that got smooshed by a car for 50 cents (normally $3). They've also put their makeup on sale too. I've gotten a compact, lipstick, lip liner, mascara for $5!!!!! The makeup was NEW and STILL CURRENT COLORS too!

Also, my WinnDixie puts their doughnut bakery items on sale at the end of the night. I've gotten 1 dozen doughnuts for between $0.75- $1.50!!! Sure, they were put into a cellophane bag, and a little smooshed, but who cares. YUMMY!!!

One of our local WD closed in 2005, while they were closing I picked up greeting cards for 5-10 cents each, and make-up products for 90% off.
The other WD in our area marks down whatever meat was on sale the week before to a fraction on the cost. They will not mark back up the meat after it was on sale so whatever has the week befores sale price tag is marked down drastically. I have picked up family packs of ground chuck 5-7#s for $3 then I come home seperate it and freeze.

Our Winn Dixie has buy one get one sales each week. It starts on Tues. and ends the next Tues. Some weeks are better than others, but they usually have meat on sale. I get lots of deals there.
