Ebay Issue-Advice please!!!!!

Okay so I sold (3) Glade plug in air fresheners with night lights for $15.xx with free shipping. The buyer just contacted me and said he/she received them and there was only 1 in the package, not 3. How is that even possible? Has anyone had anything like this happen? I am completely stumped...!!! I will more than likely have to issue a partial refund or something, but am just wondering how that could occur? Could two have fallen out if the package busted open and one stayed in????????????

it's possible that they are lying of course, but it's also possible that the package was busted open or a postal employee stole 2 of them.
sadly, nothing you can really do besides take their word for it and issue the refund.

Yeah I thought about the fact that it could be a lie, what a shame. I did ask if the package looked as if it had been busted open or anything. I haven't heard back yet. I am very careful about packaging everything tightly and sealing the packages properly. Plus these are very light, I am surprised they would even break through the packaging. So frustrating...

Exactly!! GRRRRR I offered FREE shipping too and it went to CA so shipping was $8.xx so I only made $7 total, so if I offer a full refund then I am basically giving them the air fresheners and some of my own money! lol

Um. If the package was damaged it would've been noted by the post office, at least our damaged packages are. Sounds like a scam. I wouldn't give a full refund. I don't see how 2 could just disappear without there being some significant damage to the parcel.

The buyer didn't say anything about a mark on the package, but I was wondering about that. Thanks for the info.
