Gordon Food Service (GFS)

Wow, I have been shopping at GFS and I have saved so much money, just had to throw some ideas out.

They have 5 lb bags of shredded mozzarella cheese for 9.99 and shredded cheddar for $10.99. I buy these and measure 2 cups and put into ziploc bags and freeze. For a 2 cup (16oz) bag of Sargento/Kraft on sale is $1.99 or more. I get between 15- 18 bags out of a 5lb bag.

Also they have a 5lb can (tin) of spaghetti sauce for $2.99. I divided this up and froze it also. I put some extra spices, garlic, italian seasoning, oregano and a touch of sugar and it's awesome.

Flour is cheap also $7.49 for 25 lbs. That keeps a while in the freezer too, in freezer bags.

I love GFS! I can't believe I have not gone their sooner.
Looking for: Coke Codes, Cetaphil cleanser, Yo-Plus yogurt $1 off 4 pack, Fiber One Yogurt $1, Cream Cheese, Hot Dogs, Any brand of ketchup, French's Mustard, Kraft Dressing, Kool Aid, Crystal light, Milk coupons, Quaker Granola Bars, Lay's Chips, crackers and any other good FREES !! If you don't have anything that I need, I will always trade for a stamp for my postage.

I don't really know on that one, it might be part-skim mozzarella, I would just stop in and see. I used to just go there for parties etc, but I have the room to store the extra until I can use it, so I have been shopping there a lot lately. You do have to watch prices, some things are cheaper at stores like sav-a lot, shop n save, aldi etc.

I have no idea about the coupons, but most of their products are not popular names, I know the pop and chips are, but I think pretty much other things are their brand or some different name. Let us know if you find out anything.
