Hi all. I didn't realize there was this group here. I am always willing to pray for those of you hurting. I have been hurting for a little over a year now. My dear husband died on October 4, 2007 while hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa with his mother. He died from high altitude pulmonary edema. He was 37 and the love of my life. We have a now 4 year old son and he is the only reason I am able to make it day by day. It is amazing how losing a spouse/best friend/confidante impacts and changes absolutely everything in your life. I feel like I am 16 and trying to find an identity. This is horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. We are also in the midst of a wrongful death lawsuit because the expedition company really screwed up and my husband shouldn't have died. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent and prayers out to all of you.

please pray for my mom. She's such an active part in all our lives, but her legs and back and stuff hurt her so badly, can't really enjoy anything any more. She wants to Christmas shop, for Aiden, especially, SO badly, and there's NO way she can stand to do that. She can't even take care of her house the way she wants. Grocery shopping is a necessary evil for her. She's been getting the shots in her knees, recently got the more powerful ones, can't remember what they're called. But they give them in sets, and she isn't done yet, but she's had two, and I don't see a difference in her. They've told her already, eventually she's going to need knee replacement surgery, and that's going to bed ridden her for quite a while. I hear that's one awful surgery! Not to even mention, even she does get her legs all taken care of, her back is still a HUGE issue! It's a weight thing. She fights the battle just like I do every day to try somehow to find within us to be healthier and change the way we eat. Pray for her mostly, but both of us in that sense, that God will help us find our will power, make this task easier for us. Thanks

Brent had a 4 hour extensive surgery to fix 4 tendons, a few nerves and an artery! The accident happened at school and he tripped and put his hand out to catch himself and it went through some type of glass with wire mesh. He then pulled his arm back out and fell to the ground and said that he was gonna die!!! Thank God that a friend had enough sense to apply direct pressure to the severed artery as that is what saved his life!!! He will have PT for at least a year and they do not know if he will ever be able to use that hand again.
Thanks for the prayers Karen and thank goodness he is alive!!
