Chicken casserole recipes needed
We've got several pounds of chicken breast pieces. None are big enough to grill, so looking to use them in a casserole. We've also got lots of pasta noodles that I'd like to use up. Looking for recipes that are inexpensive but have flavor. I'd really like a tried & true chicken tetrazinni type recipe but don't want fresh mushrooms in it.

Made Over Chicken Tetrazzini. I double the sauce & skip the peppers since i don't like them. You could use canned mushrooms or just skip them. Made Over Chicken Tetrazzini recipe at Kraftfoods.com
Chicken Tacos would be a good use too. Here's a recipe that's a friends FAV: You can use cooked chicken instead of the deli turkey. Turkey Tetrazzini 3/4 # spaghetti noodles, cooked 1 can cream of chix soup (I ALWAYS use chicken! NO mushroom, gross!) 1 soup can of milk 1/3 c. or so of sour cream 1 c. shredded cheddar or monterey/cheddar 1/2 # or more chopped up deli turkey (can use ham, but it's more salty) shake of garlic powder pinch of pepper good shake (about 1/2 t.) Lawry's seasoned salt Mix together and top w/ crushed ritz. Bake at 350 for at least an hour, until warmed through. |

Here's another one:
Chicken “Potpie” ( A quick & easy, in the pantry version J) From Suzyq473 ![]() 1 pouch instant potatoes 2 Cups Left over chicken chopped or shredded (can use a can of chicken instead) 1 pkg (10oz) frozen mixed vegetables (I up it to a 16oz bag) 1 can cream of chicken soup Preheat oven to 375. Get your potatoes cooking according to package directions. Mix the soup and chicken in a 8-inch square dish. Add the veggies to the mixture. Season with Garlic Salt and Pepper to taste. Top with potatoes, spreading to edges of dish. Bake 20 minutes. If I don’t want to use the oven I make the potatoes in the microwave, while they’re sitting the 5 minutes I cook the veggies in the microwave and mix together the Soup & Chicken in a large bowl. I add the drained, cooked veggies to the soup & chicken mixture. Top with the Potatoes. Put it all back in the microwave uncovered for 5-10 minutes until warmed through. |
