Aloe works well...fresh off the plant. I have it and so does DS. I use cetaphil lotion though---and that keeps it at bay on both of us. I only use fragrance free soaps and lotions on both of us.

If you get desperate, I would recommend this, I know you are looking for all natural treatments, not products.

I don't know what you would think of Vanicream. It contains no parabans or artifical colors. I am currently using it on my son's eczema. He has terrible dry itchy sensitive skin. I tried Burt's Bees lotion products and they did not work for him.

It was developed by the Mayo clinic. I also use their sunscreen. Their products tested well by the Environmental Working Groups cosmetic database.

Here is the link for the testing of the sunscreen:
http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/spe...y=search+terms

Using this link you should be able to find the lotion test results too.

I can purchase Vanicream at Target here in Minnesota (I don't know if it is distributed nationwide, it might be???) At Target it is right by the pharmacy counter. Or I order it online at Drugstore.com. I would say it runs between $10-$13, I highly recommend the tub with the pump dispenser.
Currently Needing: Hormel Natural Lunch Meats, Gold N Plump All Natural Chicken, Motts Plus Applesauce, Musselamans Applesauce, Stoneyfield Farms 6 oz yogurt cups, Florida Natural Orange Juice and Alexia product coupons and Kelloggs Movie Tokens.

It rated a 4 for safety. The sunscreens rate at a level 1, so much better.

Here is the link to the creme, you might not like the test results, but I will continue to use it on my son. He is misreable otherwise.

i heard this oatmeal bath will help too, my kids also have excema and me as well, we only do baths a few times a week in the winter anyway, i also use eucerin cream

Here's how:
You'll need a blender, food processor or coffee grinder and 1 cup of oatmeal. You can use instant oatmeal (unflavored), quick oats or slow cooking oats- all work equally as well. For babies, you'll only need about 1/3 cup per bath.
Blend or process the oats on the highest setting until you have a very fine, consistent powder. To test the colloid property of the oats, stir 1 tablespoon oats into a glass of warm water. If the oats readily absorb the water and give it a milky look and a silky feel, you've blended long enough.
Giving the bath:
Sprinkle the oats into a tub of running water and stir the water with your hand several times to ensure even distribution. Feel along the bottom of the tub for clumps and break up any you find. Take care assisting your child into the tub as the oats will make the tub even more slippery than usual. Allow your child to soak in the tub for 15-20 minutes and pat dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing.
ISO deli meat, any smoked sausage or keilbasa, ragu sauce, chex snack mix, cheerio snack mix, any cereal, kraft cheese, string cheese (let me know what brand),yogurt,Camel cig coupons, and any oatmeal, cereal bars, waffles, wipes, manwich, philidelphia cream cheese, toaster strudel, flavored creamer, any juice, kashi bars, any shampoo, ARM $ Hammer Deoderant, toilet paper, lactaid milk, frozen veggies, lysol/chlorox wipes, dreft off any product not specific, bounce dryer sheets, breakstone sourcream, always need any hand sanitizer!! but will take random coupon exchange as well.

My daughter gets it really really bad. We took her to a derm. and here are a few things they had us do. She had it so bad that she had to be on anitbot. for 10 days and was giving the strongest steriod ointment possible. But once it all cleared up, it of course came back. So we did everything that the derm. said just without the use of the steriod and to my surprise it really worked!!

Take two 10-15min baths a day (one in the morning and one at night). After each bath cover the childs skin with bag balm.

At bedtime after the bath cover the child with bag balm, place a pair of pj's on child, get those wet/damp while on the child (using a wet washcloth works best). Then place another pair of dry pj's over top of those. If the child has eczema on the feet as well do the same thing with a pair of socks.

Here is a link to bag balm http://www.bagbalm.com/

Wanted to add that everything burned my dd's skin expect for the bag balm. It contains no alcohol. There are only two ingredients 1. 8-Hydroxyquinoline it is an Organic compound and 2. petrolatum lanolin base

I've heard of using petroleum jelly and Crisco! I haven't tried either on DS. He has a low dose steroid cream that I use when he has a bad breakout. To keep the breakouts away, I lather him up with Aveeno Baby lotion after baths. And make sure his water isn't too hot.
Always ISO: Gerber Graduates, Hot Pockets/Subs, Coke products, Cottonelle toilet paper, Charmen toilet paper, Target baby coupons, Aveeno Baby (not diaper rash), Pampers $2-$3, Luvs diapers, Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, Skippy PB or Pampers Points.
