Honeysuckle White and Riverside Turkeys $.40 / pound!!!
I just came home from Wal-Mart and I was walking through the meat department. They had Riverside brand turkeys for only $.40 a pound!! They had a big sign there "Limit 2" then I walked around to the other side of the case, and they also had Honeysuckle White turkeys for $.40 a pound!! I got a 23 pound turkey for $9 and a 14 pounder for $5. I can't figure out why they had them so cheap, maybe they were overstocked, or maybe it is their special Thanksgiving price, but I bought them and put them in the freezer for a couple weeks, and wala...Thanksgiving turkey!!
Might be worth a trip to check and see if they are cheap at your Wal-Mart. |

I'm headed to Walmart tonight for weekly grocery shopping, so I'll be sure to check this out.
I snagged fresh turkeys from Kroger last year for $.29/pound. I stocked up and we just finished eating the last of the turkeys about a month ago. I miss my turkey & gravy! |

Yeah, I got one the other day for $.40. Most places around here you only get it for like $.29 if you spend like $50 at their store. But at their higher prices it's a better deal just to pay $.40 lb.

Usually, our sale is $.89 a pound if you spend $50, so this is a great deal around here.

Sheri, I bought one for the Trillers, if we do anything, so if you guys are planning something, don't get another one. I'll make it and bring it. If not, I'll keep it in the freezer for another time.
