Stratton, VT
Does anyone know if there's fun stuff to do there? I'm going there in about a month and we were planning on going to the Cabot Cheese Factory but it's over 3 hours away so now I'm trying to come up with something else to do.

Does anyone know the area? I found a place called Bromley Thrill Zone that sounds fun. I called and they are sending me a little booklet. The woman I spoke with said Manchester Village has good shopping.
Does anyone know of anything else? |

Umm.... You could come visit me b/c that is in my neck of the woods.
![]() my3kids, Jenn, is even closer to that direction. Bromley is fun. There is a big slide down the mountain and a chair lift. I haven't been there in a few years so they may have added other things since then. Manchester is full of outlet stores. Here is a link: Home There is a Carter's, so make sure you bring a coupon. The Gap outlet usually has some great clearance racks. You need to hit the Northshire Book Store. It's just full of neat stuff. somerset reservoir has fishing and hiking. here is a link to virtual vermont that has some informaiton... Vermont's Cities, Towns and Villages bennington is about an hour from stratton. Bennington Vermont - in Scenic Southern Vermont, Recreation, Lodging, Dining, Shopping & History there are a couple covered bridges, the first church built in vt, the bennington battle monument, some touristy shopping, and a decent park with a playground. if you pm me with the dates you are coming, i could find out if anything is going on locally. |

Looking for a place to donate for Haiti relief where you know your money is actually going to Haiti relief?
https://www.samaritanspurse.org/ ~Regardless where you decide to donate, be sure to ask how much of your money is going to the cause versus overhead expenses.~ | |

I grew up in the town of Winhall, which is at the base of the access road to Stratton. I can give you lots of ideas if you tell me when you're going to be visiting. I live about 40 minutes from there now. Bromley Thrill Zone is fun, but also pretty expensive. Hopefully, you'll be here during the week since it is a little less expensive. I'll see if I can find some discount coupons around town and send them to you if you want. Manchester is great. That's probably where you'll go for dinner at least once during your stay. If you tell me what you like, I'll recommend a good restaurant for you. The only chain restaurants are McDonald's and Friendly's. Ask me anything you want to know, I can definitely tell you the answer or find it out for you.
