Lowe's kids classes--Free
Lowe's offers free project classes for children. These are good for both boys and girls. My daughter has made a Valentine Holder and a Bird Feeder. They supply all materials--you just have to register (can do it online) and show up. In addition, my daughter received an apron, goggles and a patch for every class. Upcoming classes are making a periscope and goofy golf.

My kids go to this every other weekend. They just have a blast!!! They have made a spider, trucks, valentine holder, snowman greating card holders, turkey recipe card holders, squirel/birdfeeders. Their grandpa takes them and then they go to lunch afterwards. Just the three older ones go, but I do not think that Xander would be able to keep his attention focused long enough to make the project, maybe next year.

For those of you who have gone to these, would this be too much for my 5 yr old? What is the ages that usually attend?

If your 5 y/o likes to build things this would be great, if not I would probably skip it.

Can the parents help? I think my daughter would love to do this but she is only 3. We have seen the workshops before. She love to help us put things together.

I signed us up. And when it asked how many will attend I put one (even though her grandpa will be going with her and helping)...because I figured they are taking count as to how many kits they need.
