Talking My trip to the mall

I originally went to get my eye exam & contacts but that fell through. The moron I spoke to last time said I could get acuvue oaysis with the $99 exam (included 3months.) Today I was told it was their generic contacts. No way. So I was just going to leave when my 5 year old convinced me to walk around so we visited a few places:

Sears ~ 50% off the clearance price in some depts.
I bought 2 cute girlie T's & 5 colored wifebeaters
Full price almost $90; paid $17
OH! The lady at Sears optical informed me that they price match 1800contacts. Kickass!

Rave ~ various clearance deals
I bought 2 colored wifebeaters, mini-skirt, long sleeved top
Full price almost $46; paid $9

Payless ~ BOGO 50% off (lots of clearance items)
I bought American Eagle shoes, a pair of leather sandals, leather flip flops, and a cute pair of shoes for Kinkade.
Full price $92; paid $23 (BOGO is good even on clearance and I had a $5 coupon)

SOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I'm happy!
10/25: Betty frosting, chex mix, taquitos, lean/hot pockets, bar-s, complete multipurpose solution, suave lotion, suave kids S/C

10/17: breyers, yoplait, healthy ones, healthy choice, candy bags, purina one dry cat food, HORMEL CHILI

10/11: quaker bars, $2schick, duncan hines, cambells soups, mentos gum

Wow that trip was well worth it then even though you didn't get your eye exam. I just picked up my contacts today from the Walmart optical place. I think it cost me almost $250 with the exam and 4 boxes of contacts. I have contacts that have to be thrown out every 2 weeks but I can't afford to keep buying contacts when they're so expensive so I'm going to have to make them last at least a month each pair. I figure as long as I take them out every night and clean them they should be ok.

I'm checking with my Walmart tomorrow and then I'll call the one I went to last time. I'd love to get a full year of contacts but I cant afford it. The last eye dr told me that the Oaysis are 2week contacts but they're made for monthly wear... I pushed it until they were uncomfortable.

I have the Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism. I could've got the monthly ones but the price wasn't that much different. Also when you call ask about the rebates that they have. The ones that I got I'll be getting a $40 rebate on!

The paper that I have says that the Oasys brand has a $30 rebate when you buy 8 or more boxes so I think that's a 6mth supply?

I love their clearance and when they have 1/2 off, its even better! My dds have plenty of footwear and for only a few dollars.

I was going to check out the mall today, but the hubby had no work. He totally ruins my day when he is home!

Good to know about Sears though. I'm definitely going to make it to the mall tomorrow!

And I've read in other posts that Dillards and Macys both have extra % off clearance. Good thing I didnt know that, I'd be broke!

Just wanted to let you know that it also says that there is a $60 rebate for Acuvue Oasys wearers that are new to that brand. Here's the website that has all the rebate info:
