Stinky vacuums. We had issues with our Kenmore getting all funky. The problem was hair. It was getting wrapped around the roller head, wrapping around some metal piece, and burning. Our warranty covered it the first time the roller pieces melted.
The thing was, I had no clue I was supposed to be a bit more extensive when cleaning the roller head. Now, I clean it after every vacuuming and we have had no problems with it at all. I always pull off the end pieces, remove the metal pins, and pull all the hair out (there's lots of it too) to keep it from melting the roller ends again.
