Anyone know of a good deal on a toddler bed? We want one that is cool...like a firetruck or race car or something...but I just priced them online and they are very expensive!!!

I see them on my local craigslist all the time. Personally, I've never put any of my kids into toddler beds though. They all stayed in their cribs as long as they would then went into twin beds. I figured it was cheaper plus, I could lay in bed with them when needed instead of on the hard floor. I've seen ads for twin size racecar beds.

I found ours on Craigslist. My son was almost two and a half when he moved into it. We have a full size bed in his room already but we use it for a spare room, too, so it was worth the $50.00 Craigslist price to us.

I am wondering if we are trying to jump into this too early. I just didn't want to set up 2 cribs and the next one is coming Aug 20th.

Definitely check Craigslist. My first born son was and still is terrified of cribs/pack 'n plays, etc. so we had to switch him over right away (right from co-sleeping to his own bed). I ended up finding a Spongebob bed on there for $20 the other day. Worth the look!

We switched our daughter from her crib when she was 1 and a half. She could already climb out of her crib, so we felt safer having her in a toddler bed. She's now in a twin bed and she's two and a half. If you get a twin bed, you could always get the add on screens that may make it feel a little like his crib.
